Installing on Vista 64 and Windows 7
You MUST INSTALL your program from your Download link or CD. You can't hotlink it from another computer or a backup folder. After installing all the WG programs on my new Win 7 64 bit laptop without any problems, I have the following suggestions when you get a new computer.
If you have older CD's, please email support@wildginger.com and ask for the download link. Please send your name and license ID's. Be sure to tell us what programs you have.
We can then send a link to download a updated version. You would use the same license ID's you used for the CD.
Also, many newer light weight laptops do not have CD drives. Just write to us, again giving your name, program and license ID's and we can send you the info to download directly into your computer.
If you purchased by download, download a new copy of the program instead of using an older saved setup file. If you receive a "No Key" error, please write to support@wildginger.com Give your name, what program you have and your license ID.
New CD's and Program Downloads will install on Vista 64 and Windows 7.You will need to unlock the program after installing on Vista 64 or Windows 7.
If your program keeps asking you to unlock from your program select program updates. You will find a license file update to fix this.
Lock your program on your old computer or the computer you are updating and send us your license ID and the lock code generated to so we can reset your license. Send to Support@wildginger.com
Locking the program does not reset your license. You need to send us the info so we can do it.
After reading the info here, if you have a problem
Write to Us at Support@wildginger.com
Do not let your husband try to guess what the problem is. Recently a user just needed us to reset her license, but her husband fiddled around for two weeks with Windows 7 before she wrote to us.
Also, please give details - such as "no key" and your License ID if you know what it is. If you don't know what your license ID is please be sure to give us the name you used to buy and register the program. If you use a couple of names, please tell us what they are.
Tell us what program you need assistance with. We currently support over 40 programs.
Older CD'sWhen installing from CD, and you receive an error message, install this way.
Click to Computer - CD Drive.
Right Click on the CD Drive and select Explore.
Click on the Setup file.
Your program will then install.
If you do not get the explore option, try this.
Click on Computer
Left columnclick on DVDRW Drive E:(not on the right side of the screen)
When menu appears left click on set up from there on it all works like it should.
Update your program after you have installed. We have found some computers change ID's when you update the first time. If this happens you will need to unlock again. For assistance please contact us at Support@wildginger.com
Be sure to send your license ID.
The program runs correctly on Vista 64. It is the older auto install that Vista 64 did not like.
Download ProgramsRefer to the your download info received when you purchased the program and download a fresh program to your computer. If you are not able to locate that link, send your information and your license ID to Support@wildginger.com.
Error 339 comdlg32.ocx The suggested download from Microsoft may not work. This occurred with older CD's on Win. 7. Contact support@wildginger.com for links to download your programs.
