Access the update from the Welcome Screen of your program. Click on Program Updates and follow the direction.

Download the Update file to My Documents or your Desktop. Do NOT download to your Pattern Master folder.

When the program updates the date at the top of the screen will change to the new date.


Update web page does not have current update.

Refresh your Browser to see the current update page.

You can set Internet Explorer to always refresh by going to Tools - Internet Options - Browsing History - Settings - Temporary Internet Settings - click on check for new web page Automatically.



Update does not run completely.

If you start the update and it can't find the program it may be blocked by your virus software or a popup blocker. Turn off your virus sofware and any popup blockers and then run the update.


Do not use the AOL Browser. Open Internet Explorer to go to the update page and download.

Program update runs but date does not change.

Make sure you are signed in using a screen name that allows you adminintrative powers.

Run the update again.

If the date still does not change, there is more than one copy of your Pattern Master program on the computer.

Search for the Pattern Master File. You should have one copy in your Pattern Master folder.

File names are:

Boutique - Boutique3/Boutique4
Curves - Curves3/Curves4
Child's Play - ChildsPlay3/ChildsPlay4
Tailor Made - TailorMade3/TailorMade4
Me & My Baby - Maternity3
Celebrations - Celebrations3/Celebrations4


Delete copies of the program that are not in the Pattern Master folder. Empty the recycle bin. Restart your computer.

Run the update again.

If you are installing again after a crash make sure any Pattern Master Program Backup files are not on the new computer. They will prevent the current copy from updating correctly.


1000 and 9000 programs.


Click on Click and Sew Updates on the Welcome Screen to check for updates. Click and Sew does not update on a regular schedule.

Click and Sew 7000 Series.


Click on this link for the final update of these programs. Click and Sew 7000 Updates

Select the update that matches your Click and Sew Pattern number. This pattern number is on the blue bar at the top of the screen. (7000 programs select by Name.)

To find the current date of your program click on Technical Support. It will show the date of the last update.

If the date does not change you have two copies of the program on your computer. To find the name of your program file use Windows Explorer to browse to the Click and Sew folder.

Delete copies of the program that are not in the Click and Sew folder. Empty the recycle bin. Restart your computer.

Run the update again.



To find the date of the last update click on Help on the top bar.
