Dress Fitting Garment


Pattern Master V4 April 1 Update

Use the Dress Sloper Pattern in Fitting.

Use the Default. Bust Ease—2.5 Waist Ease—.75 Hip Ease—2.5

Set the darts to 2 darts front and back.

The easy way to get a good chart is to put in the Express Measurements and let the program calculate the rest of the chart.

To calculate uncheck the custom box and click on Calc Measure on left side bar.

If you really feel you need to put in some custom measurements only put in the Center Back and the Biceps. Please let the program calculate the rest.

You may set the following defaults if desired:

Bust point, Set Bust Point and Wrist Hem Circumference (Set Defaults, Sleeves. Long Sleeve Wrist Hem Circumference).

The program will calculate them if you do not set them.

Measurment Check List for V4

Use a light color muslin fabric.

Mark the hip level across the skirt with a dark marker. This line is marked on your pattern.

Mark the bust point with a small X or O. This is marked on the bodice with a circle.

Put a zipper in the back of the dress. The zipper should extend to the top of the neck. Trim or fold down the zipper above the stop.

The pattern does not have a seam allowance at the neck edge or the sleeve hem. Leave as a cut edge. There is no facing or skirt hem.

Do not make any alterations to the pattern.

The dress fitting sloper is a close fitting wearable dress. The sleeves may feel snug.

Pictures should be a full front, back and side. It is important they include your head so we can see the shoulder and neck area.
