Julie,
A very good idea the bias, it gives a designer look to your jacket; if a have to work with stripes I will do the same thing.

Thank you for the compliments! I hope this inspires some creativity!

Jacket is finished now and I'll need to do a bit of tweaking to the pattern, but it is definately "wearable" and I know I have something unique inside and out -- did a decorative circle embroidery stitch in white Sulky just to the inside of the lining /facing seam and reinforcing the center back waist of the lining to contrast with the stripes -- who says a lining has to be boring??

This is phantastic. I love the decorative stitching on the lining, also that triangular pocket flap. Both add so much. I am trying to imagine what the exterior looks like, given the interior is so stunning. Please post pictures of the whole thing.
