I bought material to match my purchased curtains for a valance for my bedroom sliding door. I used PE to design the pattern using the curve tool to make the bottom scallop. I'm really pleased with the final product. Buying the material was cheaper than purchasing the pre-made valance and I still have enough fabric left for a couple small pillows.

That turned out beautifully! I love the fabric you picked. The striped ruffle is a very nice touch.

Thanks for the compliments. The striped ruffle is actually a separate piece, with the same shape but longer below the rod. Both pieces are lined to the edge, and to save fabric I attached the lower piece just at the bottom edge of the rod pocket.
