I am making a short-sleeve top and have cut the front and back out on the bias.  It is a striped fabric and looks great so far.  But, I'm not sure whether or not I should also cut the sleeves on the bias, or on the grainline.  Can anyone help me with this?  Thanks!

Cutting the sleeves on the bias is not a problem but in your case you may have more diagonal stripes than you would like - going in several directions. I would probably cut the sleeves on the straight. Can you hold fabric at the armscye in both the bias and straight of grain direction to see what you would get?

I tried it and I think you're right - way too many stripes going all over the place.  I'm going to cut the sleeves on the straight grain.  Thanks for your help!!  Mary
