This will be my final pink piece for now.  This is a new design in Boutique5.  I sewed the under wrap side into the side seam.  I faced the top wrap piece and it is held in place with a button detail  The buttons are glass.  I like the look of unstructured garments and find the fitted side shape give the look and still give a bit of shape.

The carpis are also new.  My old ones were ready to go.

I have more pink fabric, but want to try a couple of other projects for now.

You always come up with inspirational ideas. Another great outfit Karen.
The glass buttons have reminded me of the ones I bought from an antique stall over 20 years ago. I bought quite a few and still have some unused on cards plus of course the ones on garments.

I think this is my favorite outfit - you look fabulous! This is a design that I will try - it is very much my "style". I have been busy sewing with Black RPL because I will be traveling for two weeks in Russia...Moscow, then a boat cruise down the rivers and lakes to St. Petersburg, stopping along the way in the towns and villages. Black is my travel non-color but your pink looks so fresh. Maybe I will make a tee or something in pink to cut the bordom with black.

Karen, that bright pink looks fabulous on you!  Not everyone can wear that color, but you sure can!  Love the style, too - ooks like something I will add to my "future sewing list".

Zoey was just stretching - she often sleeps on the steps.

Shucks, I thought she was practicing for Halloween Cool cat.

I love your outfit. Black and bright is such a satisfactory combination. Love the buttons, and the top won't flap around when you move.

Karen, when you extended the under wrap piece to sew into the sideseam, how did you hem the garment. I'm having trouble figuring out how I when to sew the sideseam and hem the under & upper pieces separately.

This pink blouse is really the cris cross in V5.  This was a first run.  I opted to not sew the one side into the side seam, but added a facing and it is held in place with buttons.
