I am getting the hang of using this program. I made my girl's some retro dresses yesterday. I LOVE how they turned out! I did have to change the setting for the flared hemline sweep (moved it from 5-3). I might bump it down to 2 for the next A line dress. I hope to get better pix in the next few days. It is very dark and gloomy here in PA.

Those dresses and chilare adorable. I'm glad you were able to start sewing for them early in their lives. I waited till mine were pretty opinion.....ated so my success in pleasing my dgs and dgd's has been limited. Have you tried the shirt patterns for the son and the boxer shorts. My dgs gets feeling left out if I don't sew for him also. My latest for him was silk boxer shorts. He sleeps in them frequently.

Talk about CUTE--both the girls and the dresses! And you did binding on the hems, too--great job!

My 4 year old is already becoming opinionated. I often tell her I will give her new outfit to her little sis and that always helps her decide she wants to wear her new mom made clothes (she doesn't like to give her lil sis anything). I don't know how many more years they will be OK with me making everything they wear. I feel bad admitting that I do very little sewing for my son. He has always got most of his clothes from the mall. I will try to make him some things in the next few weeks. I don't know that he will wear what I make but I will give it a try. Boxers sounds like a wonderful place to start!

Rowena, I want to thank you because you are one of the people who taught me to sew.... You were on a diaper sewing group several years ago and I read everything you and a lady named Catherine wrote. Reading your words made me feel I could sew. I now make all my girls clothes and feel so thankful that I had your wise words to get me started. THANK YOU!!!
