Does anyone own an electric rotary cutter? Are they easy to use and safe? I'm trying to source some in Australia but having no luck so far. Interested in your opinions.

Thanks Sarah

I had a Chickadee electric rotary cutter and it was wonderful for doing drapery cuts. I could cut through six or seven layers of fabric without a hiccup. It was fabulous. However, for doing garment work it was less than ideal. It's really suited for the long, straight cuts in a drapery workroom. Now, I use the Black & Decker cordless scissors, and they're perfect for cutting out up to four layers of fabric and cutting tight corners and curves.
