I am making a slinky knit top with a curved v neck - and princess panel style line. This is a test for a full length dress I will be making later.

So far so good but I am debating how to finish the neck line.

The neck opening doesn't need to stretch for me to get it over my head.

I am thinking I will just use a light woven fabric for the facing so the neckline doesn't sag under the weight of the slinky. No extra interfacing and no slinky because it adds bulk.

What do you think?

I've made a couple of slinky tops that I faced and interfaced with a fusible knit interfacing. It didn't add bulk to either of the necklines, so I'm happy with them. (I fused the interfacing to the facing.)
