Is it possible to change the armhole shape (and the sleeve cap) to symmetrical front and back?

The side arm point is a good start. Most changes are a minus forward setting because of a bust cup size. I will post a picture later today.

Here I an example. The Purple is a C cup. The Red the same measurements with a G cup. The Blue has moved the side seam a bit. The larger cup moves out the side seam because more width is needed in front. If needed it can be moved front or back using the side arm setting. This setting is not always used. The shape of the armhole can depend on the chest measurements and the shoulder measurements. What is left becomes the armhole.

I appreciate the response, but I'm sorry, it is just over my head. I would like to make the front and back armholes and sleeves symmetrical as is commonly the case with simple standard patterns. Like explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEEnOglMPcU&feature=youtu.be
Is there some way to do this in the settings? Or will it only draft asymmetrical and I would then somehow have to try to make them symmetrical in editor?

Use the side arm movement setting.

A full bust may need more front width.  This armhole may not be symmetrical.  Commercial patterns usually draft to a B cup.

I have been having a great time playing with armholes and symmetrical is not always in my best interest. I have been playing in PMK and trying to get a certain style and good fit. This is what I have concluded. I had been trying to get a good fit muslin (in knit) of a couple of commercial patterns and then I also tried to duplicate those patterns in PMK and see which one fit better with the fewest adjustments. I am still not happy with the commercial pattern, but my PMK pattern is looking good. My armhole is much smaller in front than in the back. I have adjusted the side arm movement setting just to make the pattern look "better" to me. I have an F cup and that basically screws up any chance of having symmetrical armholes. The front armhole reflects what commercial patterns call "full bust adjustments". You can kind of make the armhole any shape you want if symmetrical is what you want.

I don't need a full bust adjustment -- I am probably less than a B cup. However, I swim and lift weights so my chest and shoulders are bigger than you would think (and no, I am not a stud muffin...just moderate regular exercise...). My chest measurement is like a 32 but I have to buy XL sports bras or like a 36 in a regular bra otherwise they cut into my chest and shoulder. Any suggestions about how that would affect desired armhole shape? Thanks much for all the help and I'm sorry to be so dense but I am really coming from zero on pattern drafting

You need to post a picture like Karen did so we can see that your draft looks like, then we may be able to help you get what you want. If your chest is measurement is a 32 there's no way you should be wearing a 36 bra. Are you sure your measurements are correct? Anyway, personal preference may be you like loose fitting, which is okay. Did you do a fitting garment?
