Subject: Control pocket construction

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me know the proper way to install the control pocket: it has a facing that extends to the center front of the pant. The "out of the box" pattern shape, however, extends in a point well beyond the front crotch seam of the trouser. And I'm confused about how to finish off the raw edges because the pocket bag only attaches to part of the pocket facing.
Thanks!
Amy

I read through the instructions in the guide sheet.

There is some extra across the front so you can put something into the pocket.  Without the control facing the bag would hang loose allowing for room to use the pocket.

To go through the instructions, print the pattern at half scale and cut from fabric.  You just need one pocket, one front and one back.  Go through the instructions using the pictures as a guide.
