Previously I have never had a problem with .las files opening up in PMB software. Now when i click on a .las file ext., it tries to open up with my embroidery software. And it will not open up . A popup appears and says that my embroidery program does not recognize this file . How can i get these files to open up with PMB6 program?

You cannot open LAS files by double clicking on them. We do not associate the LAS file extension in the Windows registry for the very reason you are seeing. Other programs may be using that file extension and often over write the association. Your embroidery software must also be using that file extension and has changed it in the Windows registry. You need to open PE and browse the location where you saved the LAS file to open it.
