I am curious how the high hip adjustment and the center front/back adjustment relate to each other.

As an example: If you raise the hip say an inch and leave the waist the same, how does that differ from lowering the waist an inch. It looks like it makes the same alteration to the waist area. What am I missing? How would you choose which to make or is it a balancing thing.

Thanks

Center Back drafts to measurement in chart plus or minus back neck setting. Center Front drafts to measurement in chart, plus or minus front neck depth setting plus or minus bust cup. These measurements place the waist.

Hip depth drafts down from waist. It does not place the waist.  The hip depth should be where you sit.  For hip placement look from the back.

I was working on the skirt block. So being self-centered I didn't think about the dress draft--oops! But still helpful to know that for future reference. Thanks!
Back to the skirt though. Should CF or CB be used to make adjustments for the skirt? Because, that would move the hipline. Although if you have a tilted waist, depending on the tilt CF or CB would have to move in order to get the HBL at hips to be straight. Right?

Cf and CB are not part of the skirt draft.

Any waist tilt is done with waist drop settings.

Again, I used the wrong vocabulary. Sorry.
I meant the pant/skirt settings, cf waist drop or cb waist drop; how do they relate to the side waist drop? How do I decide which one to make an adjustment in first?
