This came to me by email from a sewer whose Internet access is very limited.

Can you tell me what it is that is so fantastic about these outfits?? I adore them. But I can't figure out how to duplicate the "sophistication(?)"

What do you think?

Well, the thin hourglass figure helps a lot! Also, the dark, almost solid color plus perfect pressing and tailoring contribute. One should be able to duplicate it.

The timless cut, perfect  fit, and construction of both ensambles is certainly a clue! All the elements of the grey suit and it's accessaries speak of upper class elegance, time and money. I really love the black menswear suit. Pegged leg, with lacey(?)spike heels, formal jacket with peaked satin rever,----- and note the released bottom button on the vest. Now how cool is that for a woman wearing a traditional set of mens clothin! Add the lacey high collared shirt and bow tie that is really a bow. And the pearls in her hair. They are pearls aren't they? Wow! Coopie

If you were to do this jacket what settings would you think about to copy these.

When I was asked what made these jackets sophisticated I gave three answers. Extended shoulder with pad. High underarm. High cap giving a very slim sleeve.
