I want to make the classic shirt with unfitted sides with a shirt tail hem. When I get everything else set, then use the shirt tail option, the sides change from unfitted to fitted.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Try the dress shirt with the yoke. That seems to work.

Or you could try using the front and back extensions in "Settings".

Be careful selecting unfitted. It is a straight side seam so drafts to your largest circumference. If the hips are larger than the bust you will get more width in the bust than you may want.

Using fitted and 0 torso darts gives an unfitted look, but is a better choice if the difference bust to hip is more than an inch.

I was using the princess shoulder line in the front and back. When I use fitted, the front really has an indent at the side for the waist, but the back is fairly straight at the side.

We need a "caution" or "consequences" page to warn of all these things.

Try it out.
There is also a high/low option.
