None of the PM programs work

I was looking at JoAnn Jobs post about neckllines & raglan sleeves and I was going to see what happened when I tried. Got a message that Pattern Master program has quit working. I then tried all of them and none of V5 work, but PMB4 does. Does anyone have an idea what might be the cause and how can i get them working again. I haven't been in them for a while - Sept. and didn't get the Oct. updates downloaded and installed as I was involved in some other projects and am waiting for Christmas for V6. Any help would be appreciated. JoAnn

Please send the error messages from each program to support@wildginger.com

You will find this C - PM(program name) - error. It is a text file.

If none of them work I would guess you have had a program run that has corrupted your databases or is preventing them from opening.

V5 runs on a different system than V4.

Karen, when I open each program the message is the same. Pattern Master has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. have tried windows fix it things. Nothing works. If there is somplace else to work, please tell me how to get there. JoAnn

Please see if there is any info in the error file in the program. C - PMBoutique5 - Scroll down to files and look for error.

If not my best guess is something has corrupted the windows .net framework required to run the program.

Please send me the file PMBCharts sdf so I can check your database before we do more. This is NOT in the folder called Databases, but is a file listed in files below the folders.

Also what anti virus program do you use.  If you use Norton it may be the issue.

There is information from 2013 in Boutique, but nothing at all in the others. I use Norton and have always turned it off when installing. I see 2 folders, one from yesterday and one from 2013., but I don't know how to send them. JoAnn

My guess is Norton has blocked the programs. Turn off Norton and see if you can open the programs. It can do this when Norton updates or when Norton is running.

You can also do a search for Norton Blocking Programs and get info to help fix this.

I have turned it off yesterday and today. Didn't work. I wonder why there is a PMB Charts sdf with more data than the 2013 one, when I was never acturally able to enter any of the PM programs yesterday.

Please send me the file pmbcharts.sdf from the main directory. Not from the databases folder.

Also try this. Go to C. Pmboutique5. Click on the PE icon and see if PE will open. If it does not either Norton has disabled the program or your windows .net framework has been corrupted.

Another thing to try. If you have freewildthings on the system see if it will open.

If it does not, uninstall. Go to www.wildginger.com and download a fresh set up file and install.

If it then runs, see if your other programs will run.

Karen, I was looking through the adobe files and they are all related to PE. Do you suppose that in August, I somehow did something wrong when looking at help or movies? I do alot of bill paying and banking by mail and I noticed for some time now that all the statements are in Acrobat Reader format also. i find it difficult to use, so maybe other thngs got somehow changed to Acrobat also. Have no idea what to do about it. JoAnn

Viewing the Help files can't make other file types connect to adobe.

My best guess is another program is doing this, but no idea what. May be time for a computer tech to check your system.
