I've been learning to sew with knits and I made my MOB dress out of a polyester interlock fabric. I started with the CLASSIC sheath and SURPLICE front neck. I cut the front panel on a curve. I originally printed a flounce attachment for the hem, but it wasn't "flouncy" enough to suit me. I had printed circle sleeves for the dress, but decided to go sleeveless. The sleeves pattern was a smaller circle and made a better flounce, so I used that for the skirt flounce.

I was quite happy with how it turned out and I looked better than the other mother-types that were at the wedding, which is what really matters, right? ;-)

 Your MOB dress is lovely and you look great wearing it too! That flounce falls beautifully too! You should be very proud of a job well-done!

Your dress is beautiful. I like the colour and the flounces, too.
You are motivating me to try sewing flounces myself.
