My first prom of the year was very successful.  I drafted the dress in PMB (one shoulder, size zip).  I used a sleeve from an 80s wedding gown.  She wanted it poufy!  The detachable train was self drafted.  Client was very pleased.  I hated the way the darts drafted in this pattern...they made pleats at the bottom.  Argggg!!!  I ended up sewing all the way to the hem line.  Because the fabric was sequined, you couldn't really tell.

Beautiful dress.

If the darts don't smooth you need longer darts and more darts. The more difference waist to hip, the more darts needed. The larger the darts the longer they should be.
