I haven't posted new projects in quite a while. I just finished a raglan sweater set. I purchased the fabric in Montreal several years ago for a different style, but never got to it. I felt this was a good choice for the fabric coordinates.

Really nice! Which PM program did you use? Also, in your criss-cross tops showm in your album, how much ease do you use around the chest? Again, what program did you use for the criss-cross top? Thanks.

I used the PMK program for the raglans and the criss-cross top. The criss-cross was a moderate knit. I used a 1" bust ease level.

Tell us more about the raglan -- it looks great. Any special settings?

For raglans, I like to use a Textile Studio Pattern (Santa Monica Tee) and the Knits program looks nothing like it.

I mostly used my normal PMK settings. I increased the bust & hip ease by about 2" each. I had to adjust the waist manually since I normally use the maximum of 5" (with an additional 2" added to my chart measurement) to get a smooth transition. I like a lot of ease in sweaters and jackets for comfort. I used the raglan sleeve with the no-dart setting. I changed the pattern based on a commercial pattern I had. The collar is a rectangle about 6" wide attached to the neckline and front edges in a single layer then turned back about 4" along the front edge and tacked down at the bottom by hand. At the back neck, it is turned back less and tacked at the seamline. The red lines show where I cut the front edge. I cut about .25" from the sleeve and back neckline also. The increased ease setting were for the cardigan only.

I really love this JoAnn! I haven't used the raglan in PMK yet. I've always thought it might make my shoulders  seem wider. No so however! It's a great look on you.

My latest "new favorite" pattern is the dolman.  I'm working on a muslin colored "sweater" knit right now and having a bit of a problem with the serger. I made a grey ribbed knit earlier and had no trouble. I'll post both after I finish this one.

Thanks for posting,

Coopie

I never noticed that the raglan sleeve could have no dart. Thanks.
