I just made the "deco" top from PMK. After trying on the muslin, my daughter wanted the square cutout smaller, so I offset all the top-right-to-bottom-left diagonal seams 1/4". This also brought the top of the cutout far enough down so it didn't interfere with the neckline finish (a problem on the muslin). This was my first project with my new-to-me (Craigslist) coverstitch machine, which I think I am going to be glad I bought. I didn't venture to coverstitch the neck, just did hem and sleeve hems. Have since tried coverstitching armholes on a muslin in a heavier, easier knit, and they turned out well, so a turned-down-and-coverstitched neckline will be on the agenda soon.

The dark fabric in the photo is not black but a dark navy (goes with the print slightly better than in the photo).

The top is spiffy. It is sure to have a slimming effect on whoever wears it. Bet she is slim already. Care to share settings

Front Neckline Depth: 0.5
Back Neckline Depth: 0.5
Neckline Width: 0.625 I THINK IT SHOULD BE NARROWER
Armhole Depth: 0.25
Shoulder Length: 0.25
Finished Cb/Hem Length: 24
Waist Fit: Semi-Fitted
Sleeve Style: Set In
Sleeve Underarm Seam: Tapered
Sleeve Cap Ease: 0.67
Sleeve Underarm Length: 19
Sleeve Hem Circumference: 8
Sleeve Cap Height Adj: 0.25

The important adjustment was in PE, moving all those diagonal seams down to make the diamond "cutout" smaller. The drawing in Style Editor shows plenty of space between top of diamond and finished edge of neck, but on my muslin, which had a .75" neck depth, there was barely 3/8" between them. For this finished garment I used a higher neck and a lower-placed, smaller cutout, and still got less than an inch of clearance (my topstitching lines, 1/2" from neck edge and from cutout edge, crossed each other; fortunately, the fabric is so dark that the intersection isn't very noticeable).

Lovely top, as Gradma C already stated slimming too with clever use of colour blocking. Thank you for sharing.

Cool! I often wondered what this one would look like in real life.
