I had made a fleece jumpsuit a few years ago and have worn it every year. But there were a few things I didn't like about it (cuffs too loose; no pockets), so this year I decided to make myself a new one. This afternoon I spent some time in the sewing room putting the finishing touches on it and I'm very happy with it!
I used a jumpsuit with set-in sleeves and flattened the sleeve cap a little. Sport collar. Drafted some booties with Wild Things and sewed them onto the pants so I wouldn't even have to worry about wearing slippers. And I added pockets!
All in all, I'm very happy with it. I'm looking forward to getting more sewing done now that my industrial machine finally got repaired (it had been wonky for months and it took me forever to find a service technician who really knew industrials). I've also signed up for the Northern Virginia ASG Sewing Retreat next month, so I need to come up with a project list for that. I want to work on something fun, or maybe learn a new technique. But we'll see.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

Welmoed, Your jump suit does look warm and toasty. Could you tell me more about your ASG retreat? Is this sponsored by your chapter?
what kinds of things do they work on.
do they have it every year?

Thanks, Barbara!
The ASG retreat is simply a weekend at a hotel; they rent out the ballroom for three days and people bring their machines and projects and work on whatever they want to. Food is provided so all you have to do for three glorious days is sew, sew, sew. Last year I got four projects done and had a fabulous time. It's all organized by the local chapter, and yes, they do it every year.
