Finished this skirt today and I'm so happy with it! I copied the design of a favorite old skirt that's about 4 sizes too small (but it's still in my closet... I can dream!). I really like the look of it and am already looking for more fabric in my stash to make it again. It worked up pretty quickly; the time-consuming part was that each vertical seam was sewn, then serged, then topstitched with contrasting thread.

Very nice! Love the top stitching and the pockets.

Nicely done. And such a versatile design. It will look great with boots.

Love the design. Is there a seam around around the skirt before the trumpets start?

Patti, no there isn't... It's a crease in the fabric. This is a heavyweight denim that's actually a little TOO heavy for a skirt, but it's what I had in my stash. After a few washings I hope it will soften a bit!
