Here is a pleated cowl top I just completed for my daughter.  I will be sending it to her tomorrow,, so she has not yet put it on.  It is the classic top, pleated cowl pattern from PMK5, Apr. update. Her bust size is E, and there is 0.375 bust adjustment taken.  The sleeve cap was raised 0.5" to reduce the across biceps width.  The fabric is a medium weight poly knit that has a lot of body.  There was some tricky sewing involved around the shoulders where the pleated front, back and facings come together.

Thank all of you for the comments. She got the top and it fits pretty well, but I overkilled on sewing the back neckline. Used the facing, which had been stabilized with fusible interfacing. That stabilized the back neckline, and with no stretch there, the back is about 1" too narrow. Live and learn. It still looks pretty good when worn, though. Next time, no back facing and a simple turned, stretch finish along the back neckline.

I've not made the pleated cowl yet (may have to now I've seen your lovely version ) but have made the other cowl version in a poly knit. I bound the neckline before attaching to the front but the turned neckline will also work nicely. I also have a knit fusible interfacing I use when I want some stabilisation but still have a bit of stretch.
