Hi Guys!

I put together a collection of pictures for my sewing room using images that I found on the internet.

Each of the pictures represents a decade in the 20th century.  All of them were used by sewing pattern companies.

I don't know of any other century that had such vast changes  - not just in fashion.

I had fun putting this together.

I hope that this link works.  You can view them in a slide show there.

Jill, I love your pictures. I did sort of the same thing when the Internet was new and made a collage in a larger frame. You have encouraged me to maybe do it over. My pictures are all black and white and not that good. Printers have come a long way.

Thanks Margie.

I have more wall space that I need to do something with in there, and I'm thinking about doing a collage too. I want to focus more on the pattern brands for that project.

Please take a picture of your collage and post it.

I will have to find it to take a picture. I am not sure where it is, right now. I know I took it down in order to hang some shelves. I think most of my pictures are from old newspapers and magazines, not the Internet. When I made it, there wasn't much access to such pictures. I will look for it.

Old pattern envelopes found at thrift stores often provide fodder for this sort of collage. Jill I envy your beautiful sewing room.

Thanks!

I found this on Pinterest. I couldn't find instructions on how to make it, but I bought supplies at Hobby Lobby today to try to make something similar.

I wish that I was as talented as this person.

Finally got around to taking a picture. It wasn't hard to find since I had just moved it to another wall. I thought I had put it away with some other pictures. As you can see, it isn't a very good collage because the printing was not good. I have a couple Godey originals hanging next to it.

Thanks for posting the picture Margie. I think that it's pretty. I've never heard of Godeys before. I had to do a google search to learn more about it. I haven't had time to really explore it though. It sounds like a wonderful addition to your sewing room.
