I am definitely not drawn to the solid top., flowered pants but I bet my pear shaped friend would look great in the #3 outfit or #2. I' think I would look best in #3 outfit with the flowered top solid pants but maybe not with my thick middle. I feel stuck in my Idea of what looks best on me.

When I make a top I often make it longer than I most likely will wear it and work with the hem in the mirror, wearing the pants style I plan to wear it with. Sometimes I try with a couple of pants or skirt styles. I pin the hem up and down until I get the balance I think looks best.

 As I wrote I'm doing a pair of very slim leg pants. They do not look good with a short top, but when I put on the longer sweater I was making them to go with, they are good.

I think it's good to try something different.
