A few months ago, I started on a quest to make some well fitting tank top. I had some bouts with illness which is explained in the blog post.

They look lovely and cool. Memories of a hot summer. And promises of next year!

Kubby., I enjoyed reading your blog. The tanks do look cool and comfy and I love the colors. Were you able to duplicate exactly., the sorbeto tank? I am a DD bust and wondered what I would have to do to prevent gaping at the armscye. Can I duplicate it in PMB 5?
Gout., OUCH!!!!! I do hope your recovery has been complete with no lasting repercussions.

What I did for each of them is pin the shoulder seams and note the gap. Then I use the gathering foot (there is one for most machines) and adjust the stitch length until I get the evenly spaced gathering i need. You really don't need much if it's spaced over the sleeve.. The sorbeto tank has about a 2 inch tuck down the middle. That option was in PMB 5 under the tank top.
