Yet another costume done and ready for Otakon (which starts this coming Friday... eeek!). This time it's Ian's turn for something fun. He wanted to be Jafar from Disney's "Aladdin." I drafted the robe and shirt with Tailor Made. The shirt was straight out of the program; the robe required some PE work to get those distinctive shoulder flares. I ended up having to do some modifications the old fashioned pencil-and-paper way to get them just right, but still, it only took one muslin. The cape and cummerbund were just "freehand". The headpiece is formed from 1" foam and was a royal pain in the patootie to make, but the end result was worth it.

Now I'm finally getting to work on MY costume. Hope to get it finished tomorrow afternoon so we can have a "dress rehearsal" with full makeup.

More pictures on my blog.
