I love both those tops. Was the raglan style a peasant blouse? Both knits? You did a great job on the necklines also.

Great looking tops, as usual! I like the raglan with the gathered hem on the sleeve. Looks like a peasant blouse, but closer to the body.

The kimono sleeve looks like there is a small cuff, or is that a bias binding turned up? Really cute and the rounded hem is so flattering.

I like them both a lot. What were your settings for the raglan top especially for the neck?

I buy most of my print knits from a local chain. They re-roll their bolts to send to all the stores, but do not label them well. Sometimes it's a guess even for the fiber content. Here is a picture of the kimono top fabric. The raglan fabric is most likely a single cotton knit with a little lycra. It has almost a flannel feel, very soft but light weight and stretchy.

I used the classic style with the kimono and used PE to add fullness for gathering in the front. I gathered the sleeve shoulder dart instead of cutting and sewing the dart. There is no gathering in the back neckline. I was going to use the same finish for the neckline as I did for the sleeve, but forgot I needed to add fullness in the back neckline for the elastic. Both of the new tops are knits, but not sure of fiber content.

The neckline settings were front scoop at 2.5", back jewel at .5" and width at 1.5". I added fullness to front in PE of about 3" (1.5 for half pattern). I used CF and CB extension of 3 instead of using curved hem setting. Ease of 1-5-2. with moderate knit setting. I increase my waist measurement in my chart by 2" to get a smooth transition from waist to hip. Armhole depth is .5

Thanks JoAnn for a copy of your Summary. I have been wanting to design the same type pattern for a particular Paisley knit I have. I don't want to have to cut it up too much and ruin the design.
My problem was trying to decide on the sleeve length. Seeing yours helps.

The sleeve length shown on the style summary isn't what my finished garment measures. I folded up a wider hem (2" and the folded up a 1" cuff. The final sleeve ends up about 1.5" shorter than shown in the summary.

Joann,
What were the settings for the raglan top?
Same as the Kimono?

I just noticed that the summary didn't give and important piece of information. I used a cap height of 0 to give more width and fullness to the raglan sleeve.

Thanks.
I was wondering why you did the two piece raglan and then joined them in PE.
Is there really much difference from the as drafted one piece raglan?

For the neckline -- when I widen and lower the neck, then the bodice gets wider just below the neck. For me its a problem and cause the sleeves to drop over my shoulders.

I have a favorite raglan pattern that I use -- its a Textile Studio pattern... and I was hoping to duplicate it in PMK.

I couldn't get the sleeve width at the hem any wider than the straight setting with the one piece sleeve. I could have used the one piece sleeve and just widened the sleeve width in PE. Otherwise the 2 sleeves are the same. This wasn't always the case with PMB so I just got in the habit of using the two piece sleeve.
