To answer your question no there is no dart delete tool in SE. It would help to see the pattern piece---- and you probably need to do it in PE. Are you using the yoked style? How deep is the yoke? Can the dart be rotated out with the dart transfer tool? I' be happy to help with a little more information!

Coopie

Ursala, when you click on "New Threads" it gives you the list of the threads you have not looked at. On the right side of the screen the number of "Views" is listed.

hi there
I think it very much depends exactly what you are doing - can you go to the "darts" menu and select zero darts?

Not sure what style settings you're choosing but when I look at a classic skirt with yoked waistline, the darts have been rotated to the side seams.

Yippee!! thanks guys for coming in. I chose the yoke skirt style with waist band. I guess I should have chosen classic skirt with yoke? With the yoke style there is no 0 dart option. Hmm, I wonder what is different between the two. Well, you have all saved the day, I have fiddled with this and got a good fit though. Now I will go and check out Jeans choices!!

okay, I am so proud of me lol. I went and used Jeans suggestions instead of yoked style, I used classic style with yoke waist. Much better. The top of the waist curves like I needed it to.
The band measures exactly as I would expect it to so I am off to sew it and see what I get.
I will post pics when finished, no muslin this time, it is close to the skirt that I have been adjusting by hand, so it should be fine with maybe a little taken in on the sides we will see.
Thanks again Ladies I really appreciate it.

I'm glad the style will work for you, Betty. Can't wait to see the finished skirt.

Coopie - sheer luck on my part. I didn't see the yoke style .

Well, I don't know how I posted 2 x up there sorry. I wore my skirt tonight, still a little loose in the waist. But looked pretty nice, I took some pics with my phone and then realized I can't find my cord to load them on the puter so will have to put it back on in the morning and take them with a camera that I can load them with. I am confused about the waist drop selection,
I know I use it because if I don't I have extra fabric wrinkles in front, but when I drop it, it just looks like a scoop out of the front, I don't get it. Am I supposed to pull the waist up that high in the front? Maybe I have it dropped too low? It was sort of uncomfortable because it was loose and the waist kept dropping down in front which felt weird too, maybe I am just being too picky lol.

Be sure to stabilize the yoke so it doesn't stretch out. Fit the yoke to your body before sewing on the skirt.

Hi Sally,
thanks,
I did interface it with a stabilizer. It held up well, just seemed too loose, and the waist felt funny with the dip in the front, like I had to pull up the front to keep everything even, but If I add fabric there then I get the wrinkles like there is too much fabric. I will keep playing with it and figure it out. i think I will do less of a yoke and tighten it up with no ease.

Hi again,
I tried to upload some pics of the skirt, please disregard my belly, I have no idea where it came from, it was just there one day and I can't seem to get it to leave. (but I'll keep working on it lol)

I ended up taking it in 2 inches at the waist,(these pics are from before I took it in) and it fits better and stays up a little better in the front. I will definitely be wearing it a lot, it is a fully lined skirt, woohoo, no slip needed lol.
Betty

pss.. upload wouldn't work, I kept getting this message:

Upload failed. Most likely this forum runs on windows 2003 which by default only allows attachments smaller than 200kb.
This can be solved by editing the metabase.xml on the server. Modify the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed value to the desired value.

okay, I finally got the pics to work, apparently cropping doesn't make them small, I had to do a resize in paint shop.

How much drop did you use?

Hard to see, but it doesn't look like the yoke line is level.

I use a woven fusible for skirt or pants waist facings.

HI Karen,
I used a 3" drop, I used a woven fusible too. I ended up taking it in an extra inch on each side and it fits good. i will get used to the program soon, surely I will if I keep using it lol.
thanks
Betty
