I'm confused as to how to print the summary of a saved style. Program help says to go to the print style screen.
That's just confusing me. Sorry!
WHen I go into "Open Patterns", and choose my saved style, well, there's my summary. Can't I print from there?

I wish that we could, but no.

You have to open the pattern and then click the print button.

You will see tabs on the next screen, one of which says "Summary". When you click that tab, then you're given the prompt to click "Print summary"

Hopefully, someone else has discovered a faster way!

I find it best to go into Word and print from there.  This allows me to edit the summary, add note, change to 2 columns etc.  I have occasionally noticed that summaries will save without data so I make sure I open the summary before closing out of the pattern which has just been drafted.

I agree with Cate. I do all my summary printing in Word. I can put it all on one page with a bit of moving around. And shrink the illustration as well.

To print your summary from Word, go to C:\PMBoutique5\Summaries. There you will find an .RTF (rich text format) version of your summary. You can open it in Word (recommend you save to a new file name) OR you can copy it to another file name and then open it in Word. I find that if I change it to 3 columns landscape format, I can get it all on one page. Usually I spend some time making sure the numbers in the columns line up, but that's just me being picky.

The program cannot print the summary from the Open/Edit screen because it has to actually draft the patterns to complete the summary. Until the patterns are opened on the garment drafting screen, many of the settings will not be correct and the finished garment measurements will be missing.

Sometimes, when I have finished the garment, I will take a picture, go back into Word and add the picture to the summary. I also staple a piece of the fabric to the summary. Patterns that I want to keep are stored in large clear plastic envelopes. The Summary with the picture shows through and I know which pattern is in which envelope. I know the patterns are still on my computer, but why print and tape another when you can just pull the pattern from the envelope and go?

I like the idea of printing a picture to go with the pattern. Pretty obvious when you think about it, but easier to recognize than patterns by name.
