Why is the front facing wider than the back neck facing at the shoulder seam? According to my calculation the front facing is almost 1" longer than the back neck facing.

Karen, when you have a minute I'd like to understand what the situation is here.

Because the way is stands up, it needs a wider facing than the back does.

Karen - the instructions say to sew the back facing to the front facings then to the garment. Is that right? Those seams facing seams are not the same length so its confusing.

Maybe we should change the sewing order.

You can still sew them together at the shoulder. Match at the neck edge.

So, the back neck facing has to be smaller than the back neckline of the blouse in order for the neckline to stand up?

The neck edges are the same. I measured the file you sent me.

The shoulder length are not the same because the front needs a wider facing.
