Well, I delivered the final costumes to the high school yesterday afternoon. The director was so pleased with them!

Here is the "prom dress" for the female lead, Ariel, which she will wear in the final scene.

More pictures and explanations in my blog!

You continue to amaze us, when did you have time to design, print, glue letter paper formats, cut paper pattern
cut fabric, sew and fit - and how many styles did you sew in a week time?

Thanks for the kind remarks! Cristina, one thing that helps me immensely is that I have a wide-format plotter (HP 650C) that takes 36"-wide rolls of paper, so I very rarely have to tape anything together. It saves me so much time! As for how many I had to make I had three weeks to make one tux jacket and two dresses, so I really got off easy this year (unlike "reamgirls", when I had a week to make 18 dresses). I didn't do a muslin for the Ariel dresses. At the first fitting, both needed to be taken in from the waist to the hip about an inch, and the front darts lengthened three inches.
Opening night is this Friday, and I'm so looking forward to seeing the costumes on stage!
