Winter seems to be almost over, at least here in NE Iowa, but it's not too late to finish a fleece jacket! (And there is one more in the works.)

Good job on the jacket, thank you for sharing the details and settings on your blog. I really like the pockets and the camo ribbon trim - nice find

That jacket is fantastic - the color, the design details, the finish work.  Yes, there are always little glitches we might have done differently, but no one would notice but oneself.  You can definitely wear that jacket with pride.  Good job!

Love your jacket, Sue. I like fleece jackets and have made several. You have given me some new ideas so that the my future jackets don't all look the same as the previous ones.

Very nice jacket. I like the zippered pockets. I made a similar jacket using princess panel with regular inseam pockets. The color is even the same as yours.

That's one great-looking jacket. Might have to make myself something similar for the cold Canberra winter.

Sue,

If you want to re-do the pockets, take a look at Kwik Sew 3828. I saw a sewing demo of this jacket and the pattern has the option of using top stitching on the exposed zipper tapes (on top of the fabric). Couldn't be simpler and would allow you to put your pocket opening in the "larger" side pieces of the coat. To dress the tape up, the demo showed sewing some trim/ribbon over the zipper tape, but it was left plain in the pattern instructions. Since the fleece doesn't ravel, it is a perfect candidate for a slashed zipper opening. The pocket itself was made of pocket lining fabric: your camo nylon would be perfect. The sewing was not quite intuitive for me, so getting the pattern directions would be necessary for me.
