I have tried my first jacket in PMB. Uniform jackets have become very trendy here in Denmark , so I wanted one too This is a classic jacket, that I have made a lot of changes to in PE to copy a model from a Danish magazine. The fabric is “Sweat shirt fabric” I don’t really know what that is called in English. Once again I love the fit that PMB makes

Berit

I'm trying to upload pictures, but It won't work, so I will try a little later again.

Berit,
I like this style too.  Does your fabric have some stretch?

I'm trying to upload pictures again.

Dale, I'm not using the strecth. It's ordinary sweat shirt fabric with a fuzzy backsite. I suppose you could use zero ease, but i would not scale it.

I used standard ease for my pattern.

Berit

I'm still not able to upload my pictures. I will try to send them to Karen, maybe she will upload them??

Darling!  My daughter thinks it'd be fun to come up with a line of clothes for work that are made from sweatshirt fleece.

Is that ever nice! I would never have thought that you could make a fitted garment from sweat-shirt fabric. That is one sharp jacket.

Thank you all
I know that I look really angry on the picture. I'm not, but my husband always insists on having the sun in his back when photographing, meaning that I always have it right in my eyes .

Sue, what a wonderful idea. I wore this jacket all day to work today, and it was sooooo comfortable.

Absolutely fabulous jacket! I want one! That style is very popular here too. Would you care to share a few more details about what settings you used and the details you added in PE? Or alternatively let us see the pattern pieces? Might be easier than explaining because a picture usually speaks a thousand words.

Berit, thanks so much for posting the pattern pieces. Very helpful, thanks! Now I just need to find the time to draft and sew my own version. Never enough hours in the day.....

You really can achieve very fast any project you wish - so far I'm testing some muslin pants
and hope to get a good fitting.
Your fast made projects are inspiring us.

Thanks Pam Of course I don't mind sharing my settings. My original choices were a classic jacket with front zipper, set in sleeves and a mandarin collar, 2 darts in the back. On the front I only had a side dart. straight sideseam. I made the shoulder 1/2 inch longer (for the flap) and i made it as short as possible, but I wanted it to be Waist length, so I had to cut it at the waist (app. 2 inches longer in the front). I think those were my choices. But like I told Belinda you are welcome to have my .las files (the original and the changed).

You can save them in a folder on your desktop,( maybe where you save PMB updates)  or onto a flash drive, and then open them in PE.

I placed a file in PMB called Forum files 2011, and direct all las. files from users there. It is simple to find when opening files in PE.
