I've been contemplating making a jacket and pants, but decided I needed something simple and low stress to make first.  Besides, I'd been promising myself some new fleece jackets since LAST winter.

Style:
Oversized, "loose fit" ease, 7 inches chest/hip.  I might try making the next one a tad more snug, but it's fine the way it is.

I wanted to make it with a full opening zipper front, but I couldn't find a full length separating zipper in a color that I liked, so I went with the shorter zipper and a pullover style.  The jacket itself is simple to make as the sleeve seems are all straight.  What took the time was 1) deciding how much trim to put on it  2) deciding on a size and style for the pocket and 3) figuring out how to make the transition from the open seam for the exposed zipper to the closed seam below.  I sorta figured it out and sorta just covered it up. Makes it look like a shirt placket. LOL

The pink trim is pink FLEECE bias tape that I found.  I didn't know there was such a thing.  They didn't have it in many (1 or 2?) colors but they did have it in light pink.

This was my first "sport collar", which is quite easy.  The trickiest part is figuring out how high to line up the zipper, but that's not all that hard, either.

The fabric is a piece I picked up as a remnant.  I did the fabric layout calculator and PMB told me I needed 1.35 yds.  I checked the tag I had with the fabric and it said...  1.35 yds.  Whew!

Oh yeah, don't forget to check the nap on your fleece and have it all go the same way.  And I know this because....
