Subject: Basic question about Click and Sew Patterns

Hello, I am considering buying PMB for knits and the regular one, but I thought I would try some of the click and sew patterns first. I wanted to see how the process of printing
out the patterns and putting them together went.

I have two questions.

First, is the way you print out patterns and tape them together, similar for Click and Sew and Pattern Master Boutique ? Or are there any differences?

Second, can i use knits with the click and sew patterns or is it only for woven fabric ? Could I make basic t-shirts as an example?

Thank you!!

Lisa

Like you, I first bought C&S, but it wasn't very long before I purchased PM - the options are quite limited in C & S - PM5 has tons to choose from.  It is well worth the investment - you will not be disappointed!
I will try and answer your questions as best as I can:

First, is the way you print out patterns and tape them together, similar for Click and Sew and Pattern Master Boutique ? Or are there any differences?   There are no differences.

Second, can i use knits with the click and sew patterns or is it only for woven fabric ? Could I make basic t-shirts as an example?   I'm not sure about using C & S for knits, but in PM5 there is a guide sheet for percentages to use for different types of knits.

Hope this helps!  Mary

I am a long time user of the many Wild Ginger programs and I love them, but, I have never used Click & Sew so can't answer your questions. The same may be true of many users on this board.

Go to the Wild Ginger home page and you will find a phone number to call the office directly. I would do that to get your answer.

The patterns print and assemble the same.

C&S does not have the Pattern Editor to scale a pattern for knits.  You can draft 0 ease for a knit or sew a knit with ease using Click and Sew.

Thanks so much! It sounds like I might be better off saving for PMB 5 and PMB Knits.
Although Click and Sew may be a fun introduction.

Hi Karen,

Does Cameo have a Pattern Editor chart to scale the knits?
If not, can you display it here
or send me an attachment file at
Cristina.2010_@hotmail.com

Thank You,
Cristina

This topic is Click and Sew.

Cameo has a scale tool.  Please post questions in the correct threads so less experienced users don't become confused.

Hi Karen,

I was asking about that scale chart for knits
Can you provide that?

It is in the Help files for Pattern master programs.

Our records show you have PM and Cameo.

Since this is a C&S topic - please note that C&S does not have Pattern Editor and does not scale knits.
