Hi All!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good textbook for menswear? I have David Coffin's book for shirts already. I'm interested in learning about fly front zippers, and banded bottom shirts and tabbed collars. What are some of your favorites?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Kuby,

Do you have David's cd book about making pants? Very interesting and includes great information about making men's and women's trousers.

Classic Tailoring Techniques by Roberto Cabrera & Patricia Flaherty Meyers is an old standard. The illustrations and text can both be confusing but it does have some good info. It doesn't cover shirts. I think there's a link on the Wild Ginger website to Pam's Off the Cuff site - or some thing similar - I sem to remember a lot of good shirt construction info there, but I haven't checked recently.
Coffin's pants book is likely an easier read than the Cabrera/Meyers - but it won't have the jackets/vests info.
