Having saved the Fitting Garment, you can then save the dress or sheath, or blouse, or jacket I suppose, with no defaults or settings which are different from the FG. That should be a duplicate of the FG. Save the FG along with those patterns for practice purposes. That should give you a bodice , skirt and sleeve along with the Red Overlay.
If you are practicing using the tools, and flatpattern techniques, I would suggest the dress because the drafting books use as their teaching model the bodice , darted skirt, and darted sleeve.

Thought I would expand on this a bit. Many years ago right after the forum in it's present form was started, I set up a file within the PMB4 patterns file. Named it "Forum notes" And that is where I filed all the interesting las, files concerning patternwork that came up here. I could then play with them.
In 2007/8 I started fileing with the year in the name.(I seem to be a bit of a slow learner when it comes to office work!) In each of these files I have a copy of a basic sloper, a sheath or torso, and a pair of pants. Very convienient! My own mearurements of course because that is what I have.
Since I can access those files from PMB5 I can still use them. When I download the las. files posted here I save them there with the description.
I actually have files that go back to PMB3.
I really love pattern work. It is my crossword puzzle amusement!

I've already been all the way through the DFP book once using the sloper on the disc. Wanted to try some of them with my own measurements now. I also amuse myself and exercise the little grey cells by coping garments I've seen using PE. Burda pattern website is good here because they have very clear technical drawings. You used to be able to print them off, but they won' allow that any more.
