I copied the files and then emailed them to my gmail acct so that I could pull them up on my laptop. They went to a download for windows 7. When i double clicked on the downloaded file windows 7 was not sure how to go about placing them into my PMB files. I tried another route to copy and paste and the wiki says to paste into the main file. I tried that but then couldn't retrieve them. I don't understand how to make the copy and paste work. Nor am I clear on exactly which file to send. At first I tried sending a bunch of them but then decided that one of the files was much larger than the rest and figured that it was the most likely file to attempt to copy and paste. I got lost in the process.
From your perspective you understand clearly the entire process so there is nothing that isn't obvious as to what to do, but for me it was as clear as mud. I'm sorry that it didn't work. I still have styles which I' like to transfer over but I can make copies of my summaries and then transfer the settings manually.

Just edited the first post to show the current link for info on moving to a new computer. We don't recommend installing from an old setup file. A lot changes over time, some driven by changes by Microsoft. . We can also send you the current link to the setup file.

Hi, Karen. I am going to be getting a new computer because my current one (used, but new to me) is about 10 years old running Windows XP. When my old computer died the local tech shop installed PCmover Professional , and they were able to transfer both PMB5 and PMK to my current box. To my surprise both programs were unlocked and working as before with no loss of data. So my question: Do I need to lock the programs before getting a new computer or will PCmover take care of it again? The techs are great but they don't know Wild Ginger products.
