The last few weeks I have been sewing test garments for dolls.  Here is a pictures of one test model wearing an outfit I made for her.  It was quick and easy using knits.

I have also been testing various sewing techniques for dolls.  Sometimes standard construction works and other times you will want to adjust it for ease of sewing.

Working with her I see why sewers often just make fun garments for their own dolls.

Would be fun to make matching garments for the grand kids.

We think so too. Most of the styles in the Dolls program are also in Child's Play so you can easily make matching garments.

Remind me to tell you a cute story about the time when my young daughter and I, and her AG doll were all wearing the exact same outfit that I made.....OK, I'll tell it. We had walked over for lunch at someone's house dressed completely alike. Lavender twinset, identical long skirts with a cute ditsy print. After lunch, my daughter wanted to walk to her friend's house, but didn't want to bring her doll. She asked me to bring it home. So I left by myself with the doll. Even 16 years ago I was definitely too old to walk around with a matching doll! What weird looks I got all the way home.....

Jazzy Fran....i will be using this program. How did you fix the too big hat problem AND the doll i'll be using has
huge hands. There is no measurement in the 'doll group sizing' for that. I need the armscye larger to fit the hands.
Any suggestions?

Did you set the desired circumference? Some designs like the sun hat only have a circumference adjustment. If you want it different use scissors.

You can drop the armhole if needed in settings. Be sure to check hem circumference is adding a sleeve.
