At first glance I thought it might be a hood.

I would draw on the collar shape on the pattern. Then slash and spread the edge to add more fullness.

Thanks Karen, it might be a hood as the back neck stand is straight and not gathered. I will give both a try. I prefer not to have gathers at CB collar as my fabric is a bit thick. It looks as if I must extend the CF of the hood as SE drafts the hood to CF, am I correct?

Sorry I don't understand CF.

Remember it's your design choice. You can to a hood or just a collar.
