My antivirus program (yeah, it's avast) regularly complains about PatternMaster Curves, preventing me from running the program. I usually just end up launching the pattern editor manually, but it's annoying nonetheless, and of course it prevents me from using the other features.
Is there any prospect of wild ginger signing its code?

Unfortunately, Avast changed its interface since 2015.. It's now under Settings/General/Exclusions/CyberCapture.
I suspect that Avast keeps track of files deemed safe by recording both the pathname and the secure hash. Whenever Patternmaster is updated, the hash changes, and this confuses Avast. The solution, I suppose, is to remove the exclusion, run PM Curves, and allow Avast to update its trust list. Sigh.
