Can't print from "View Stash".  My printer is working, so I don't think that is the problem.  I tried choosing fewer settings, but the program still crashed.  I even changed my default printer to Cute Writer trying to set up the stash type in pdf, but that crashed as well.

I am using the Oct 23 update.  Should I try downloading again?

No, don't download again. Do you have lots of images in what you are trying to print?

Yes, lots of images in Fabrics & Patterns, but not in Equipment or Publications. All attempts crashed the program.

What version of Windows are you running?

Windows 7. Maybe that's the problem?

Windows 7 should be fine. Are you able to go into the report editor and save as a Word document? If so, can you print it from Word without crashing?

Which screen are you on when you click Print?

Try the following:

1. on the fabrics screen, click the print drop down menu and choose Selected Views. Does the program crash at that point or does it open onto the Report Editor screen?
2. If it opens on the Report Editor, are you able to save the report as a Word document or PDF file?
3. If so, can you open the saved document and print it?

I may have mis-understood. Just now went to Fabrics (not fabrics under View Stash), and I could select views, showed up on Report, then crashed when I clicked print.
Still crashes when I choose print under View Stash.

In the Report Editor, can you SAVE, not PRINT the report in Word (RTF) or PDF and then print from one of those applications?

Report Editor does not show saved reports under Open. Save As does have the drop down menu, but Settings is greyed out.

Under the Fabrics, etc., main category, some selections will show under print, but not all. For instance, I may have 12 fabrics, but only a few will show for printing under the Report Editor even when All category is chosen.

What is the default setting for saving reports?

Can you email me the error.txt file that is in the Stitch-n-Stash root folder? It will contain the entirety of this error message.

I uploaded a new update for Stitch n Stash. I don't use the file referenced in the error but added it anyway. See if that helps.

Yes! It works now! Yea!!!

Just a side note, I had never printed from this program. Last week I downloaded the new "free" Windows 10. Tried it for a few days, then removed it, but the Google Chrome was still in my computer. I kept restarting my pc each time I tried to download the new update, but kept getting the old error and Oct. date from Stitch-n-Stash update window. I tried going back to my old Windows Explore, and lo and behold...there was your new update. Maybe it's just coincidence, but I do wonder if I've messed up my pc.

Sometimes I really hate computers....

Thanks, once again Lisa, for your persistence. I'm not a novice with computers...have both Mac and Windows from my previous business. Taught myself AutoCad, can create detail architectural drawings! I love my SnS program, and should be simple for me since it's basically a spreadsheet, isn't it?

Maybe I'm just getting too old for this computer world!!! LOL Think I'll go back to writing notes and using the telephone for messages.....
